SREB is actively working to protect and restore degraded biodiversity within the buffer zone of Rugeramigozi II, with a strong commitment to conserving ecosystems and promoting sustainable environmental management in the area.

SREB actively raises community awareness on environmental protection by educating people on practical ways to safeguard the environment, as well as the consequences of environmental degradation. Through these awareness initiatives, communities are empowered to take informed and responsible actions that contribute to sustainable environmental conservation.

Habitat restoration is a core pillar of our work in biodiversity protection and recovery. One of the most effective ways to promote biodiversity in Rwanda is through the planting of diverse native tree species

SREB has participated in JADF Open Day organized by JADF-Muhanga District from 17th – 20th June 2025. In this event, SREB presented its activities.

The president and Legal Representative, Dr David MURINDABABISHA has participated in the 1st Rwanda Climate Science Symposium took place at Kigali on 13-14 May, 2025.

100 ditches were created to prevent soil erosion in Kagitarama village, Gitarama Cell, Nyamabuye Sector, Muhanga District.
